It's about 10 miles by road, roughly 14 minutes in free-flowing traffic, and every trip crosses the Severn on Upton Bridge, a 1940 road bridge. We found no weight or width restriction for it, but check the signs on the day. The site is on the east side of Tewkesbury, opposite Dobbies Garden Centre and close to the A46 and Junction 9 of the M5. Treat the time as an estimate from map routing, not a timed drive.
You can use smart entry any day from 6am to 10pm, which leaves plenty of margin either side of a working day.
Crossing the river?
Upton Bridge is the only way over on this route. No restriction was found, but check signage if you are in a larger vehicle.

The Wigwam facility is extremely clean and each of our storage units are immaculate. The app to enter and access our units is easy to use and for any extra help we have needed, we have had excellent & swift responses from the Wigwam staff, especially Lenny and Holly. I would thoroughly recommend.

I found dealing with Wigwam easy to deal with, the staff are all friendly. The Tewkesbury depot is clean. I only negative for me is having to press and hold the up or down button on the lift until the lift is in position.

We turned up unannounced and I spoke to Sarah, she opened the unit and gave us a phone tour, we picked a unit and a move date. We needed to change the move date again I called ,spoke to Holly , again no issues . The service has been impeccable, throughout, the entry system is easy , even for a technophobe like me. I cannot recommend this place highly enough

Renting a unit with Wigwam was so simple. I rang them up, they 'showed me around' the Tewkesbury site - they were on the phone, unlocking doors as I approached the doors, my little girl loved it. The units are decent value for money, especially with the discount I received, the facility is very clean, and the system on your phone works brilliantly. Best storage unit I've ever rented from, cannot recommend enough!

This storage unit is well located near the motorway, clean and very easy to navigate. All access is controlled by a simple app and it is easy to share with colleagues or others who might need access on a one off or ongoing basis. There is a lift to help move things if your space is on the first floor. There is also a wide loading bay or a self opening door from the car park, so you have options fit for items of all shapes and sizes. The customer service team are super helpful and were able to talk us through everything we need to know. We would recommend Wigwam Tewkesbury wholeheartedly!

I highly reccomend wigwam storage.... worth every single penny. Ive a 35sqft unit and its perfect. Ive a few bits from my house, and i buy and sell in the carboots so its very very handy. Im always in & out. Really good opening times also, i think its 6 am to 10 pm which is perfect for me. I just go in unlock the doors with a press of a button on my phone , and load in my stuff. This place is absolutely spotless clean, i mean immaculate. A lovely clean smell hits you when you open the doors & my favourite thing is the trolleys, they r so handy. I believe there is a thing for carrying pallets also which is cool. And the toilet is always spotless. I cant pick a single fault. Thanks wigwam from Patrick stokes

Is there a Wigwam store in Upton upon Severn?
No. Our nearest is Wigwam Tewkesbury at Ashchurch Business Centre, about 10 miles away by road.
How long does the drive take?
Roughly 14 minutes in free-flowing traffic, crossing the Severn on Upton Bridge. That's an estimate, not a timed drive.
When can I get to my unit?
Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm.
Is it worth the drive for a small load?
The trip suits a bigger move, from about 125 sq ft up, or a stay of weeks or months. For a few boxes, think about how often you will visit.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
