Getting here from Crowthorne
Head to our Reading store
7 Bridgewater Close,
Reading, RG30 1JT
It's about 14.7 miles by road, roughly 25 minutes in clear traffic: north from Crowthorne on the B3348 Bracknell Road, across to the A329 and the A3290 into Reading, then through the centre and out on the Oxford Road to Bridgewater Close. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.
Smart entry works any day from 6am to 10pm, so you can unload before a busy moving day gets going.
Loading up on the first floor?
The first floor is step-free, like the rest of the site, and its units cost less than ground-floor units of the same size. Ground-floor units run larger, up to 450 sq ft.
Choose the space you need
Use these as a starting point. The Reading team can help you choose.
Illustrative sizes and contents. Unit types and availability vary.
Reading has two floors, and the floor changes the price. A 25 sq ft unit starts at £18 a week on the first floor, and a 75 sq ft unit at £45.50. The 125 sq ft size, enough for a three-bed house, is on the ground floor at £76 a week. Every size is listed on our Reading storage prices page, and storage is billed every four weeks rather than by calendar month.
Why Crowthorne people store with us
Crowthorne was a hamlet until Wellington College opened in 1859 and Broadmoor Hospital followed in 1863. Storage from the village tends to follow the housing cycle: families trading up or down, a gap between completion dates, or rooms emptied for an extension.
Moving home
A completion that keeps shifting? Storage for your move runs on a rolling stay.
Renovating
Rooms emptied for an extension can come back in stages as the work finishes.
Business storage
Tools, stock or paperwork for a small business. See business storage.
Clearing a house
Sort what stays and what goes at your own pace with decluttering storage.

Great company. I wasn't sure what size unit I needed and they were so helpful with plenty of advice even offering to let me see the units before I decided. When I booked my unit it was so quick and easy I just needed some ID docs and signed the contract then straight away I had my unit. They use an app to access the storage facility and it was so easy to use. Also they were the best value. They even phoned me to check everything was okay and that I didn't have any problems with the app or access. I would definitely recommend Wigwam for storage with lovely friendly staff and easy to set up and access.

They're in a very convenient location, with lots of parking for cars and also close to the 17 bus. The facilities are always clean and well-lit, and I cannot say enough about the fantastic staff. Peri and Emma are always cheery, helpful, and friendly. Reasonable prices, as well. It's great!

After being with Pink Hippo Reading for quite a while now, I cannot express how happy I am with their service. The lockers are well-priced and the facility is clean, however, the staff really make the company what it is. They have been understanding, professional and incredibly helpful with the organisation of my unit from overseas. I couldn´t have asked for more and I would recommend them a thousand times over.
