It's about 16.4 miles by road, roughly 30 minutes in clear traffic: north through Crowthorne on the B3348 Bracknell Road, over to the A329 and the A3290 into Reading, then the Oxford Road to Bridgewater Close. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.
Smart entry is open any day from 6am to 10pm, so you can load on the way and be back for tea.

Half an hour each way is easy to manage once but tiring to repeat. Call the Reading team with a list of what you are storing so the first trip is the only trip.

Reading has two floors, and the floor changes the price. A 35 sq ft unit starts at £27.50 a week on the first floor and £30 on the ground floor, and a 100 sq ft unit at £60.50 or £65. Every size is listed on our Reading storage prices page, and storage is billed every four weeks rather than by calendar month.

Great company. I wasn't sure what size unit I needed and they were so helpful with plenty of advice even offering to let me see the units before I decided. When I booked my unit it was so quick and easy I just needed some ID docs and signed the contract then straight away I had my unit. They use an app to access the storage facility and it was so easy to use. Also they were the best value. They even phoned me to check everything was okay and that I didn't have any problems with the app or access. I would definitely recommend Wigwam for storage with lovely friendly staff and easy to set up and access.

They're in a very convenient location, with lots of parking for cars and also close to the 17 bus. The facilities are always clean and well-lit, and I cannot say enough about the fantastic staff. Peri and Emma are always cheery, helpful, and friendly. Reasonable prices, as well. It's great!

After being with Pink Hippo Reading for quite a while now, I cannot express how happy I am with their service. The lockers are well-priced and the facility is clean, however, the staff really make the company what it is. They have been understanding, professional and incredibly helpful with the organisation of my unit from overseas. I couldn´t have asked for more and I would recommend them a thousand times over.

Sandhurst storage: useful things to know
Is there a Wigwam store in Sandhurst?
No. We serve Sandhurst from Wigwam Reading on Bridgewater Close, about 16.4 miles away by road.
How long does the drive take?
About 30 minutes in clear traffic. That's a routing estimate, so allow longer at busy times.
When can I get to my unit?
Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
Is the site accessible without stairs?
Yes. Access is step-free throughout the site, including to the first floor.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
