Furnax Lane, Warminster, BA12 8FT
Leave Shaftesbury by the B3091 Bleke Street, join the A350 at Grosvenor Road and stay on it north towards Warminster. Come into town by Deverill Road and Sambourne Road, then the B3414 Church Street and Bath Road to Furnax Lane.
It's about 16.2 miles by road, roughly 26 minutes in clear traffic. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow a little longer at busy times. About 50 minutes there and back is fine for a job you do twice, to load in and to clear out. For a small unit you would visit every few days, storage nearer home is easier.
Once you're there, smart entry lets you in any day from 6am to 10pm, so an early start or an after-work run both work. The Warminster store page has the full details.

Illustrative sizes and contents. Unit types and availability vary.
Warminster starts at £9.50 a week for a 10 sq ft unit on the first floor, and most sizes cost the same whichever floor they are on. Larger units are on the ground floor, and drive-up containers are priced separately. The full range is on our Warminster storage prices page, and storage is billed every four weeks.
Why Shaftesbury people store with us
Shaftesbury sits on a greensand hill about 215 metres above sea level, and its steep, cobbled Gold Hill was the setting for a famous 1970s bread advert. Alfred founded Shaftesbury Abbey here in 888. Older houses and hilltop streets mean furniture often has to be out of the way for a while.
