Getting here from Kidderminster
Head to our Bromsgrove store
27-29 Sherwood Road,
Bromsgrove, B60 3DR
It's about 11.4 miles by road, roughly 22 minutes in clear traffic: out of the town centre by the ringways, onto Comberton Hill and Comberton Road, then Bromsgrove Road towards Bromsgrove. The mapping data shows no weight, width or height restriction on those roads, but it is an estimate rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.
At Sherwood Road, smart entry lets you in from 6am to 10pm every day, so an eleven-mile run can still fit in around a working day.
Worth the trip?
For a few boxes for a few weeks, eleven miles is a lot of driving. For a bigger unit or a longer stay it makes sense, and units above 125 sq ft are ground floor only at Bromsgrove.
Choose the space you need
Use these as a starting point. The Bromsgrove team can help you choose.
Illustrative sizes and contents. Unit types and availability vary.
A 10 sq ft unit on the first floor is £10.50 a week and £11 on the ground floor, a 75 sq ft unit is £59.50 and £63.50, and a 150 sq ft unit, ground floor only, is £113. Every size is listed on our Bromsgrove storage prices page, and storage is billed every four weeks.
Why Kidderminster people store with us
Kidderminster is a town of around 57,400 people. The modern carpet industry was founded in the area in 1785 by Brintons, the Museum of Carpet opened in 2012, and the Severn Valley Railway runs to Bridgnorth from Kidderminster Town station. It has its own trade and its own commuters, so an eleven-mile drive for storage needs a real reason.
Moving home
A house move with a gap between completion dates is a good reason, and storage for your move covers it.
Renovating
Belongings kept out of a property for longer than a weekend while the work is done.
Business storage
A business that has outgrown its unit, with sizes up to 300 sq ft. See business storage.
Decluttering
Longer-term storage for what you cannot place at home, supported by our decluttering guide.

Highly recommend this company! I recently moved and needed to store some items and was unsure where to store as I wanted to make sure it was close by but also very secure. I contacted this company and to spoke to Holly who was so welcoming and helped me decide what size would be better for me by allowing me access to see the units. The level of security in the premises is fantastic with cameras at every corner! I decided in the end to go with a 50ft storage and then dealt with both Helen and Jeremy who explain each step what happens moving forward and made sure that I would get access on the date that suited me. The process I thought was going to be long and added stress for me, however all 3 took that stress away! Thank you again!

I had need of storage space at short notice. Wigwam came up in a search as local to me with good reviews. Let me say the reviews are well deserved. They have all different storage unit sizes which you can easily select online.
I've never used self storage before so it was all new to me but Wigwam have made it so intuitive and simple to use. You download the app which gives you easy Bluetooth access to the entire building. I've only used the facility out of office hours and it was all so easy. There are flat bed trolleys, a pump truck and a sack truck to make moving your items hassle free. Safe, secure storage, easy to use, accessible until 10pm and reasonable prices. Top marks all round.
I'd recommended Wigwam to anyone wanting self storage.

It was a last minute thing to get some storage but a quick phone call to Wig wam and really within minute's and a few I.D bits required from myself I was all set up and panick over, I would definitely recommend, and one of the main things I liked they answered the phone very quickly and you spoke to a real person, that means a lot. Well done guys

The signing up process was easy, and the service from the staff was speedy, friendly, helpful and professional.
The app used to access the premises was easy to use and gave added assurance of the security of my items.
Once inside the premises were modern, clean, well lit, and directions to the storage unit were clear and easy to follow…. Even the lift had step by step instructions!
All in all a fantastic company and storage facility.

Excellent experience!
We needed sudden storage after selling our parents’ house. I stopped in at the Bromsgrove branch and found it unmanned, (which I now know is normal).
I rang the number and spoke to an extremely helpful employee who offered me immediate, remote access to the building and let me see inside two different sized units.
After that, the set up was extremely quick!
I applied in the morning and was able to drop stuff off the same day. Everything is activated by an app on your phone but staff can be contacted by phone if needed.
On my second visit (after lots of rain) I did notice a pool of water not far from my unit. I rang up and by next day it had been sorted. No recurrence.
I am really happy with the unit and the excellent service.

Wigwam have generously donated a unit to The Basement Project for our food bank. It is very high tech and access is managed through an app which is simple to use. Jos and the team have been really supportive and are easy to contact if we have any questions.
Kidderminster storage: useful things to know
Is there a Wigwam store in Kidderminster?
No. We serve Kidderminster from Wigwam Bromsgrove on Sherwood Road, about 11 miles away.
How long does the drive take?
Around 22 minutes in clear traffic. That's a routing estimate, so allow longer at busy times.
When can I get to my unit?
Daily, 6am to 10pm, through smart entry. Ring the office between 9am and 6pm on weekdays or 9am and 2pm on Saturdays.
Is there step-free access to upstairs units?
Yes. You can reach the first floor at Bromsgrove without using stairs.
Is it worth the drive?
It depends on the size and the length of stay. A larger unit for a longer job is where the trip tends to pay off; for a small, short job the distance may not be worth it.
Is there a deposit?
No deposit is taken from new customers at the moment.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
