Getting here from Ockley

Head to our Dorking store

Unit 3, Curtis Road,
Dorking, RH4 1AA

From Ockley it's about 7 miles, from Capel about 6 and from Newdigate about 7, all heading north-east. Ockley uses Stane Street (the A29) to Beare Green; all three villages then take the A24 into Dorking, then on to Curtis Road. These are estimates from map routing rather than timed drives, so allow longer at busy times.

Smart entry lets you in any day from 6am to 10pm, so you can fit the trip around work.

Why Ockley people store with us

Ockley lies astride the A29, which follows the line of Stane Street, the Roman road, with Ockley Green in the middle and Leith Hill rising behind. Capel sits roughly midway between Dorking and Horsham and takes in Beare Green and Coldharbour. Newdigate once supported many brickmakers, and a nature reserve now covers part of the former brickworks.

Moving home

When the move dates do not line up, storage for your move holds everything on a rolling stay.

Renovating

Free up a room for the trades, and keep the sofa out of the dust sheets.

Business storage

Trade stock, tools and files, with no commercial lease to sign. See business storage.

Drive-up loading

Dorking ground-floor units have drive-up access, handy if you arrive with a full car.

Started using Wigwam when they were still Pink Hippo, back in summer of 2025 for long-term storage needs. Convenient and easy to access via the Noké Bluetooth app. However, since February they have put up their prices by around 30%, citing 'operational costs'. Rather than pay another £40/month on top of £175 for a 50sq. ft. unit, I moved out. No doubt, they are handy for anyone local who needs regular access to their belongings or equipment - just beware it comes at a cost. Also, a note to say that Claudia was always helpful if I had question or a problem.

I moved into Wigwam (Dorking) on Mon 07 Sep 2026 with assistance from Kevin & Jake of Libby's Transport (recommended by Claudia at Wigwam) who were super-helpful. We moved some stuff from my house to Wigwam and then collected more stuff from a smaller unit at makespace in Horsham (who are fine by the way but Wigwam is much closer to where I live). Kevin & Jake did most of the heavy lifting and we organised the 75 sq ft unit at Wigwam as shown in the photo. Access is really easy (from 06:00 to 22:00 365 days a year) and it's controlled by an app that opens the main gates, roller shutters, your unit etc. There's plenty of parking and the site is easy to find (opposite Champions Timber on Curtis Road). I'm using Wigwam because I am refurbishing my property and I need to enable my builders to swing a cat or two*. What really works well for me is that I can drop in on my way to LIDL or Waitrose (I go there most days) and stack up some more boxes or pick up a pair of clean socks - or whatever. * No cats were harmed during the making of this post...

A great sign-up experience at this facility when I walked in; quick and no fuss with an ideal unit available. Clean, modern and secure, with good access times. All gates and doors are managed through a phone app. Rates are reasonable, and the starting discount was a bonus. Claudia couldn't have been more helpful and efficient.

In the midst of some house-move chaos/stress, I wanted/needed to get a storage unit sorted without undue procedure, delay or expense. A quick phone call with Claudia outlined the necessary steps, and when I visited Wigwam Dorking the next day it was straightforward to get everything set up on the spot. Claudia explained everything and showed me round - she was very efficient, helpful and friendly. And when I visited two days later, on a Sunday, the access to the site and my unit via the app worked seamlessly.

This is an excellent facility. Clean, secure, well-organised and easy to access. You use an app to unlock it but it’s straightforward and no-nonsense. There are trollies to move your stuff, the lift is reliable. Out of probably a dozen visits I only encountered anyone else here two or three times. It’s fit for purpose and I would definitely use it again.

A truly seamless experience. Great customer service from Claudia showing me around various units together with offering clear instructions on how to complete the contract. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for her and she was able to answer all my questions. She is a credit to the company and without her help and guidance I probably would not have secured a unit.

A huge thanks to Claudia. I only met her a couple of times but she was so helpful, friendly and efficient. As the face of the company at your Dorking site she really couldn't give a better impression and because of her I had full confidence in your storage facility. I would not hesitate to recommend.
