Self storage near Richmond
Richmond doesn't have a Wigwam site of its own. Our nearest is on Barnett Wood Lane in Leatherhead, about 15 miles away, with units from £11 a week and access from 6am to 10pm every day. That's a real trip, so it suits a bigger job better than a few boxes.

Getting here from Richmond
Head to our Leatherhead store
1D, Business Park 8, Barnett Wood Lane,
Leatherhead, KT22 7DG
It's about 15 miles by road, roughly 40 minutes in clear traffic: south on the A305 and the A310 through Twickenham and Teddington, then along the A308 to Hampton Court, where you cross the Thames on Hampton Court Bridge. The A307 and the A244 through Claremont Lane, Copsem Lane and Warren Lane bring you down into Leatherhead. A motorway route can look a couple of minutes quicker on the map but runs to almost 27 miles, so the road through Hampton Court is the sensible one. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow a little longer at busy times.
Once you're there, you let yourself in with smart entry, any day from 6am to 10pm, so you can load on a quiet weekend morning or after work.

Illustrative sizes and contents. Unit types and availability vary.
Leatherhead has a ground floor and a first floor, and the floor changes the price. A locker on the ground floor starts at £11 a week, and the smallest first-floor unit, 10 sq ft, is £20.50. A 35 sq ft unit is £48 a week on the first floor and £58.50 on the ground floor, which is the one to pick if you'll be carrying anything heavy. Every size is on our Leatherhead storage prices page, and storage is billed every four weeks rather than by calendar month.
Why Richmond people store with us
Richmond has been a royal address for centuries: Henry VII rebuilt the palace here and gave it the name Richmond in 1501, the bridge replaced a ferry crossing in 1777, and deer have roamed Richmond Park since 1637. Plenty of flats in the town have more history than cupboards, and Leatherhead is the nearest Wigwam for what won't fit.
Moving home
Keep the contents of a flat together between a sale and a purchase, with storage for your move on a rolling stay.
Renovating
Empty the rooms the builders need, then bring it all back when they've gone.
Business storage
Small firms keep stock, samples and paperwork off their own premises. See business storage.
Decluttering
A flat that has run out of cupboards can be eased out in stages with decluttering storage.
