It's 12.1 miles by road from either Midsomer Norton or Paulton. The drive climbs north through Radford and Timsbury towards the A39, then drops into Bath by Wellsway and Bear Flat to reach London Road. Paulton's route is similar and a little quicker despite the same distance. That's a map-routing estimate rather than a timed drive, so plan the trip rather than popping over. At the time of writing (September 2026) several central Bath roads carried a 7.5-tonne limit during Cleveland Bridge repairs. Anyone bringing a large vehicle should read the signs before turning in.

We found ourselves in a fix when my mums purchase failed to complete on a Friday so could not move in a van full of her belongings, so needed a storage unit at zero notice large enough to fit a Luton van of contents. Wigwam were so understanding and helpful and arranged for the unit to be available so quickly - a real godsend! As we only needed it for a week they explained how to only pay for 2 weeks rather than the normal month- so much cheaper that keeping the hire van van for a further week - thank you!

I enquired about a unit a few weeks ago and was helped by a lovely young lady called Selina. She showed me the units and gave me all the info I needed and followed up on email to make sure I had all the info. I also had some dealings with Sasha and she was equally as helpful. I’ve had a great experience with Wigwam Storage in Bath. The whole place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Salina has been amazing — always friendly, approachable, and happy to help whenever needed. I feel completely secure leaving my things here thanks to the excellent security system. The app and access system make it really easy to get in and out whenever I need to, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other options in the area.

I had a really positive experience moving in at Wigwam. Staff there (Selina in particular) kept me posted regularly and provided good transparent information about costs and unit availability. On my removal date, the staff showed the movers to the unit and everything went entirely smoothly. Wigwam is not a cheap option but the level of service is excellent - they also have a cool app to access the unit.

Very happy with Wigwam storage. Entry is easy via the app and there is easy access to all the units and a large lift to the upper floors. There are trolleys available to transport your stuff to/from your car if you have large or heavy items. The staff have been really helpful and respond quickly to queries. Would definitely recommend.

I needed local storage so my friend recommended this place ! I went along to look round I just can not believe how much space they can offer you all dry clean well lit and importantly safe!! They think of everything there trolleys lifts and electric tail

Is there a Wigwam store in Midsomer Norton or Paulton?
No. Our nearest is Wigwam Bath at York Place on London Road, about 12.1 miles away by road from either town.
Is the drive worth it?
For a short top-up, perhaps not. For weeks or months, the trip is a small part of the total. We haven't timed it, so use a map app on the day.
When can I get to my unit?
Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm.
Where do I start on size?
From the biggest furniture, then boxes, then space to reach things. Lockers and 10 sq ft units are there for small loads. Send the Bath team a list or photos for help.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
