Getting here from Melksham

Head to our Bath store

4 York Place, London Road,
Bath, BA1 6AE

It's about 11.1 miles by road, roughly 22 minutes in clear traffic: west on the A365 Bath Road past Shaw Hill and Folly Lane, then Bathford Hill to the A4 and London Road West into Bath. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.

Once you're there, you let yourself in with smart entry, any day from 6am to 10pm, so an early start or an evening run both work.

From £11 a week buys a 10 sq ft ground floor locker at Bath. At 20 sq ft a unit is £28.50 on the ground floor and £27.50 on the first or second floor, and a 100 sq ft unit is £68 and £65. See the Bath storage prices page for every size; storage is billed every four weeks.

Why Melksham people store with us

Melksham grew up at a ford across the River Avon, and for years the Avon tyre plant stood in the town centre until the site closed at the end of 2023. The town once tried to become a spa, which the waters at nearby Bath made hard to do.

Moving home

A gap between selling and buying is easier with storage for your move, and the two-week minimum means a short gap doesn't lock you in.

Renovating

Clear a room or two while the builders are in, then bring it all back.

Business storage

Materials, tools and slow-moving stock, kept out of the back room. Read about business storage.

Downsizing

Keep what you are not ready to place, using decluttering storage.

We found ourselves in a fix when my mums purchase failed to complete on a Friday so could not move in a van full of her belongings, so needed a storage unit at zero notice large enough to fit a Luton van of contents. Wigwam were so understanding and helpful and arranged for the unit to be available so quickly - a real godsend! As we only needed it for a week they explained how to only pay for 2 weeks rather than the normal month- so much cheaper that keeping the hire van van for a further week - thank you!

So, self-storage in a city like Bath is like giving candy to a kid, everyone wants/needs it. But to have such a slick operation as Wigwam, and two amazing managers on site is incredible. The customer service is second to none, and facilities utterly perfect. 11 out of 10.

We have been extremely impressed by the high level of service from Sascha and Selina at Wigwam in Bath. Following a busy period delivering our public arts project, we urgently needed a small space to store items and within one hour we had agreed a competitive cost and had keyless access via the app. Very happy and would highly recommend.

I enquired about a unit a few weeks ago and was helped by a lovely young lady called Selina. She showed me the units and gave me all the info I needed and followed up on email to make sure I had all the info. I also had some dealings with Sasha and she was equally as helpful. I ended up not needing the unit but their amazing service couldnt go unrecognised. Wigwam are lucky to have such a dedicated professional employees. They were a pleasure to deal with and behave in a way that you'd think they owned the business. Thanks Selina and Sasha for restoring my faith in customer service.

I’ve had a great experience with Wigwam Storage in Bath. The whole place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Salina has been amazing — always friendly, approachable, and happy to help whenever needed. I feel completely secure leaving my things here thanks to the excellent security system. The app and access system make it really easy to get in and out whenever I need to, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other options in the area. Highly recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for safe, affordable, and hassle-free storage in Bath!

I had a really positive experience moving in at Wigwam. Staff there (Selina in particular) kept me posted regularly and provided good transparent information about costs and unit availability. On my removal date, the staff showed the movers to the unit and everything went entirely smoothly. Wigwam is not a cheap option but the level of service is excellent - they also have a cool app to access the unit.
