From Witney, leave on the B4022 by West End and Hailey Road, cross on the B4437, rejoin the B4022 at Banbury Hill, then take the A44 Oxford Road and the A361 Banbury Road into Chipping Norton. From Carterton, take Burford Road and the B4020 Shilton Road to the A40, then the A361 up The Hill and Fulbrook Hill and through Station Road and Albion Street to Banbury Road.
It's about 15.3 miles and 28 minutes from Witney, and 16.4 miles and 32 minutes from Carterton, in clear traffic. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow a little longer at busy times. Thirty-odd miles there and back is too far for a few boxes. It makes sense when you fill a unit once and leave it: a house's contents between moves or postings, or a long renovation.

Excellent Service & product !
Very easy access with parking right outside the door.
Plenty of trolleys, so no need for muscles ! It maybe a little more expensive than some others, BUT the cleanliness & ease of use perfect.
The staff are VERY patient, explaining how each unit works.
It is great to know the manned office hours & how to make contact if not.
Plenty of accessible hours too.
Ps.... they do like a biscuit or 2 in the office I hear !

I enquired about a space in Bath a few weeks ago but was uncertain if I'd need it. I was helped by a lovely young lady called Selina. She went out of her way to give me info and showed me around the facillity. I didnt end up taking the unit but I had to write this because such service is rare nowadays. My sister has a unit at Wigwam and also raves abut the service.

Chipping Norton wigwam storage helped us when are removal company fell through. Lenny was extremely helpful showing us all the storage facilities inside and outdoors. Great flexibility and a good discount allowing us to move home with less hassle.

Wigwam has taken good care of the shipment of our household possessions on our return from abroad.
The whole experience was excellent.
TheWigwam staff saw the shipment into the storage unit for us and made it all as simple as is possible when moving home and countries at the same time.
The storage building is well organised, clean, tidy, secure and access was available everyday for a significant number of hours.
Most of all ,the staff were kind, concerned, helpful and friendly. as anyone using the storage facility will learn.

All staff have been extremely helpful in explaining all the options to us. Very good security, very convenient to be able to use our own code and get in at any time to suit us. Wigwam offer a superb variety of storage solutions with robust security and monitoring systems, giving you the confidence that your goods will be stored in very safe hands. Everything ran smoothly, the unit was perfect for my requirements, the staff were incredibly helpful....and then when I left, my deposit still has not been returned 3 weeks later. There is no excuse for the return of deposits to take this long and I am advised it can take up to 4 weeks. That is why this not a 5 star review

Let down by an online delivered van hire hours before we needed it (Nationwide) - had a ring round and discovered Wigwam also did van rental and they were closer to us. They were so helpful - quick, efficient and professional and did what they said. They saved our home move in the cold and snow. Couldn't have been happier with service - and patience even after we rang back and said - are you sure it will be there tomorrow when we arrive? . Would highly recommend.

Our 40ft international container 'off loaded' with no problems. Wigwam helped with a storage unit they knew would be the correct size! We had the unit for 6 months as we slowly moved things to our new home. I always felt safe, Wigwam is very clean and well lit. Most importantly EVERYONE at Wigwam were very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. They were even able to downsize my unit to save me money as I made progress. I would use them again for certain. My unit was upstairs and the huge easy to use goods lift made it super quick to access the units upstairs. I took out insurance which was flexible depending on my progress. The picture is of my smaller unit at the end once empty.

Really supported through the "moving in" process & beyond. The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
