It's about 16.2 miles by road, roughly 25 minutes in clear traffic: take the B1096 along Wood Lane and Forty Foot Bank, then Doddington Road to the A141 Isle of Ely Way. Follow the A141 to March and turn into Hostmoor Avenue. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times. At about 25 minutes each way, the trip is worth it for a move, a renovation or months of storage, less so for a few boxes.

Once you're there, you let yourself in with smart entry, any day from 6am to 10pm, so an early start or an after-work run both work.

Some sizes are on one floor only, and where a size is on both floors the price is the same either way. Ramsey is a market town in Huntingdonshire, about 9 miles north of Huntingdon, with 8,593 people in the parish at the 2021 census. The town grew up around Ramsey Abbey, a Benedictine monastery dissolved in 1537, whose gatehouse is now cared for by the National Trust. Its unusually wide main street, Great Whyte, was a watercourse culverted in a brick tunnel by 1854. There's no Wigwam in Ramsey itself, so March is the nearest place to keep things safe while life rearranges itself.

Fantastic staff, everything explained crystal clear, secure gates open with a phone app, secure entry to the building also access with phone app, large trolleys to load your stuff and a large lift to use if your on the first floor, and secure sturdy door to your unit, also accessed with the app on your phone. All in All great customer service and support and great secure units 😊

I am very satisfied with my storage unit at Wigwam self storage at March host moor. It is very secure using the app to gain access to the facility and the the units are dry and secure too with their own access code to get in to your own unit. Overall I am happy with the whole process of booking and using it.

When can I get to my unit?

Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm, and you can call 01223 344944.

Is the site step-free?

Yes. Access is step-free throughout the site, and trolleys are provided for loading.

Does the floor change the price?

No. Some sizes are on one floor only, but where a size is on both floors the price is the same either way.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.

How long do I have to stay?

The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.

Do I need insurance?

Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
