It's about 13 miles by road, roughly 21 minutes in free-flowing traffic, and essentially one road: take the A429 Fosse Way the short distance to the A40, then follow the A40 west all the way into Cheltenham and on to Grosvenor Terrace. It's an easy run with a loaded car or van. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.

Once you're there, smart entry lets you in Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and at weekends and on bank holidays from 10am to 4pm. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. You can read more about the Cheltenham store before you set off.

A 25 sq ft unit starts at £15 a week on the mezzanine or £22 on the ground floor. A 75 sq ft unit is £29 on the mezzanine or £44 on the ground floor, and a 150 sq ft unit, about right for a small business's stock, is ground floor only at £58. Gloucester Abbey founded it as a borough with a market charter in 1219 or 1220, and in the late Middle Ages it prospered as a centre of the wool trade. I have used the storage at Cheltenham for nearly two years now and have always been glad I made the change from a large facility in Kingsditch. I recall leaving a glowing review of Casey and his team when I first took on the unit. Just yesterday I left a less than complimentary review but have discovered my frustration at the time was due to misleading info I obtained over the Internet and nothing to do with Wigwam. So that review is withdrawn and I continue to recommend Wigwam as a convenient town centre facility, well run and utilising a high tech, easy to use entry system.

The sales team were great in giving me a tour of the different storage options available and then providing me with quotes. Everything after that point was super easy to get set up and get moved in. The app is also really easy and user friendly with no issues so far and the premises as a whole feels really secure.

Lenny was great at helping me get my storage over the phone, and was engaging and fun. I also received some help from a nice guy at the location; I think his name is Adam, a very lovely fellow. Friendly staff they've got. First time using a storage unit, and it was seamless to set up and easy to use the app without any confusion. The price was also really affordable, beyond what I assumed it would be, and I still got a 50% discount for the first 8 weeks. I highly recommend Wigwam.

Sarah and the Wigwam team have been fantastic! They've made the whole process easy, convenient, and affordable! Wigwam do really good deals on their storage spaces, 50% off for the first 8 weeks, and they use an app-based system for access to the storage unit which is quick and efficient! This is the best experience I've had with a storage space company to date!!

Impressive storage facility in central Cheltenham location. Good access in opening hours using the App. (Be prepared to check mail filter if the initial email giving access to the App and hence to your store does not seem to come through.) Clean, well lit. Kasey gave a very helpful introduction and registration process.

Wigwam self storage have proven very helpful when I couldn’t be around for moving out. They gave the removal company access and were transparent and responsive throughout the process of vacating, even when there were delays. Whoa, where do I start from, the guys there deserve more than a 5-star, pleasant, patient, good listeners, etc. Having used other storage this is the 1st I've experienced where the guys are happy to get involved with your stuff. The app allows you to have access which for me was way better than the traditional locks. I got there needing a big size but the guys advised that I get my stuff in 1st to see the best size (they were rather concerned about what suits my needs rather than the money) Luke and Kacey you guys are rock starts. Please keep this up. I'll recommend StoreAway Self Storage any day anytime.

Is there a Wigwam store in Northleach?

No. We serve Northleach from Wigwam Cheltenham on Grosvenor Terrace, about 13 miles away.

How long does the drive take?

Around 21 minutes in free-flowing traffic, almost all on the A40. That's a routing estimate, so allow longer at busy times.

When can I get to my unit?

Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and weekends and bank holidays from 10am to 4pm, using smart entry. There is no access outside those hours. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.

Can I store business stock?

Yes, units take business stock and paperwork as well as household goods. Check the access hours first, because they run in the daytime only.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.

How long do I have to stay?

The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.

Do I need insurance?

Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
