From Petersfield it's about 15 miles, roughly 23 minutes in clear traffic: north by Bell Hill and Stoner Hill, across to the A32, then the A31 Alton bypass and the B3004 Mill Lane. From Liphook it's about 15.9 miles and 24 minutes: the B2131 London Road to the A3 for a short stretch, then the B3006 north to the A31 bypass and Mill Lane. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.
Smart entry is open any day from 6am to 10pm, whichever of the two towns you set out from.

Alton is the nearest Wigwam for both Petersfield and Liphook, and the last mile is the same from either: the A31 bypass and then Mill Lane.

I left a well-known storage unit for Wigwam, mainly because of cost, wigwam are more reasonable, the unit is clean and is entry availablity is upto 10pm. You work off an app that allows entry not only to the building also to your rented unit. It is safe, No fear of loosing keys. The staff very helpful. Highly recommended.

I needed to organise a storage unit on a pretty quick turn around- thankfully having had one at the Alton site before they were able to do so.
Lenny called as soon as I emailed and was extremely helpful on making this process quick and easy so i could get into the unit the next day.
there was an issue with the app when i went to use the unit but i emailed Lenny and he rang back within 5 mins and managed to resolve the issue very quickly.
would recommend and thanks to Lenny for making the process smooth.

Not used storage before. Staff were helpful when sorting it out, answered all my questions and was able to have a preview of the unit.

Decent website, helpful and rapid responses to queries. Took the time to do a guided tour via phone to help me determine the appropriate unit size. Fast and efficient onboarding and the facility is clean and looks reasonably secure. Other than that, it's a storage space that you can store things in. Reasonable costs. App does the job for opening the doors and stuff. V.Happy so far.

Yes the staff at. Wigwam Self Storage were excellent help as from beginning and to the end of downloading their App to my mobile phone.Also on our first arrival at the self storage unit helped us right to our container. No problem was too much for them to sort on the spot.

Absolutely fantastic service!!!
Holly was an absolute star, we were panicking as we were in the middle of our house moving and needed a quick storage area. Less then an hour after our first call we were already putting boxes to our Storage.
The site is nice and clean, the entry system is truly clever and makes the storage Access easy and quick.

Great facility! Easy to access, good instructions. The outstanding service was from the team at the head office, they were incredibly responsive, helpful and personable. You made a stressful situation SO much better, thank you. Still using the storage but know that the company is super flexible if I need to shorten or make it longer.
My one suggestion is to extend the timers on the doors when entering the storage unit as sometimes it enough time to unload big deliveries onto a trolley and get back to the unit building before the doors close!
All in all, AMAZING company! Couldn’t recommend more 🙂

Excellent new storage facility in Alton. Clean and well organised. All opened up using an app so no staff on site so it’s very quiet. I cannot praise the office staff highly enough. I made an error of judgment when I chose the size of unit I thought I required. After nearly filling the original unit I realised my mistake and within half an hour I was allocated a bigger unit down the hall which made relocating to it much easier. As it was also a Friday night when I realised my error they allowed me to have the two units until the next day to give me time to swap over. The staff were so helpful and made a stressful day much easier than it could have been.

App worked smoothly - site is clean and modern, unit was sensibly designed and easy to get to. Only tiny complaint is our unit was about as far away from the front door as it can be (albeit without having to use the lift) but I guess someone has to be 🙂 The roller doors on the 100 sq ft unit we have were beautifully balanced such that you'll want to be careful you don't use too much force when opening and closing them. The trolleys might take a little bit of time to get used to the rear-wheel steering particularly when heavy loaded but if you're used to somewhere like B&Q you'll be fine.
For full disclosure, we've only just rented the unit and filled it up, but the experience so far has been great. Response times to emails and helpfulness of staff has been excellent.

Petersfield and Liphook storage: useful things to know
Is there a Wigwam store in Petersfield and Liphook?
No. We serve Petersfield and Liphook from Wigwam Alton on Newman Lane, about 15 miles away by road.
How long does the drive take?
About 23 minutes from Petersfield and 24 from Liphook in clear traffic. Those are routing estimates, so allow longer at busy times.
When can I get to my unit?
Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
Does Wigwam serve Liphook as well?
Yes. Alton is also our nearest site for Liphook, about 15.9 miles away. The access hours and prices are the same.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
