Getting here from Skellingthorpe
Head to our Lincoln store
Greetwell Road,
Lincoln, LN3 4NH
It's about 8 miles by road, roughly 12 minutes in clear traffic. Skellingthorpe is only about 3 miles west of the middle of Lincoln, but our site is on the eastern side of the city, so the drive is longer than the map suggests. You go via Waterloo Lane and Lincoln Road, then the A46 round the north of the city and the Lincoln Eastern Bypass to Greetwell Road, which keeps you away from the historic city centre. That's a map-routing estimate rather than a timed drive.
At the other end, smart entry lets you in any day from 6am to 10pm.
The other side of Lincoln
Greetwell Road is on the east of the city, so expect the Lincoln Eastern Bypass rather than a straight run in. Access is step-free throughout the site.
Choose the space you need
Use these as a starting point. The Lincoln team can help you choose.
Illustrative sizes and contents. Unit types and availability vary.
A 10 sq ft unit on the Upper Floors starts at £10.50 a week, which is the cheapest way in. The Second Floor Restricted Height area starts at £31.00 a week for 75 sq ft, and Ground Floor units cost a little more again for the same size. Everything is listed on the Lincoln storage prices page, with storage billed every four weeks.
Why Skellingthorpe people store with us
Skellingthorpe is a village just west of Lincoln, but the city sits between it and our site, so the trip is really a cross-city run via the bypass. It is worth treating as a planned trip rather than a quick pop to the shops. The nearest Wigwam is the Lincoln store.
Moving home
When completion dates do not line up, storage for your move holds the lot.
Renovating
Keep furniture out of a building site and in good order until the work is done.
Business storage
Spare stock or equipment off the premises, with business storage on a flexible stay.
Students
Student storage for term-time belongings between terms.

From the 1st moment I contacted Wigwam I was impressed with their customer services and facilities! I arrived at their premises without an appointment and was guided through the facility remotely without a hitch. The storage units are clean, secure and value for money. The team were very helpful throughout and Claudia rang me when agreed and was extremely sweet and helpful My circumstances have changed for the moment so I didn't need to go ahead but I wanted to leave a review as I was so impressed. I will not hesitate to come straight back to them when the time comes 🙂

I am a trustee of a local community theatre and we have very little storage space onsite. Wigwam have been a lifesaver and could not have been more helpful. Very friendly, cost effective and the storage units are immaculately clean. The phone app which facilitates access is so simple to use, and allows us to grant temporary access. Thank you Wigwam Lincoln.

I can't fault Wigwam from the point of signing up to moving in, everything was smooth and hassle free. The security app for admission to the site is intuitive, and so user friendly. I have one of the smaller units at just 25 square feet, but it's surprising how much you can get in with ease. I've since got a lot more in freeing up space at home for things I only occasionally need.
Wigwam are highly recommended by me!

Every member of the team was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional — nothing was too much trouble, and they genuinely went out of their way to make the process easy and stress-free.
The facility itself is excellent: clean, secure, well-maintained, and clearly run with a lot of care. It’s obvious they take real pride in what they do, and that gives you total peace of mind when storing your belongings.
If you’re looking for a reliable storage facility in Lincoln with an amazing team and top-quality facilities, Wigwam Storage is the place to go. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and will happily recommend them to anyone.

Everyone I spoke to before leasing my unit was incredibly friendly. I had a tour of the site via phone so I knew what to do and expect.
I was very impressed everything is via the app and that side of things is very responsive and I have had no issues so far.
They even play the radio in there.

The telephone staff are very friendly and efficient, helped me when I set the alarm off (oops), they provide very good service both prior to renting a unit and during the rental period. They helped me decide on the right size unit by letting me access to view the various sizes and shapes.
They talked me through the entering and exiting the facility. Jess was outstanding dealing with all the paperwork quickly and me being forgetful and dim.
Thank you very much, hopefully I won't set any alarms off again

Wigwam storage units in Lincoln are fantastic. From the first contact to ask about the storage to now 5 months later it has been exceptional. The price is very good. I am happy that my items are safe.
The units are easy to access, they are spacious and clean. I have a lot of camping equipment plus all my Xmas decorations (I have a lot) in the winter we will also be storing our hot tub. We also have lots of stuff that was the children’s when they were growing up. It has given us the spare room back at the house.
Staff are always polite friendly and very helpful.

Skellingthorpe storage: useful things to know
Is there a Wigwam store in Skellingthorpe?
No. We serve Skellingthorpe from Wigwam Lincoln on Greetwell Road, 8 miles away.
How long does the drive take?
Around 12 minutes in clear traffic for the 8 miles. That's a map-routing estimate, so allow longer at busy times.
When can I get to my unit?
Any day from 6am to 10pm, using smart entry. The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm.
Why is it 8 miles when Skellingthorpe is so near Lincoln?
Our store is on the eastern side of the city, so the route goes round the north of the city on the A46 and the Lincoln Eastern Bypass instead of through the centre.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We're not currently taking deposits from new customers.
How long do I have to stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. After that you stay as long as you need and give 14 days' notice when you're ready to leave.
Do I need insurance?
Everything you store needs cover: our contents protection, or your own policy if it covers goods in self storage. Send us proof within 14 days of moving in and we'll refund the contents protection charges.
