Shakeup Cosmetics is a men’s skincare brand founded in 2019 by twin brothers Jake and Shane. The brand was built to educate men about skincare, challenge outdated stigma, and create formulas specifically tailored to men’s skin. As a certified B Corp, Shakeup balances commercial growth with responsible, values-led business practices.
Their hero product, “Let’s Face It,” is a BB cream designed to subtly even skin tone and reduce the appearance of redness, including rosacea, while still delivering a natural finish. The product reflects the brand’s wider ethos: practical, confidence-boosting skincare created specifically for men.
After the pandemic, Jake and Shane reassessed how they worked. A traditional office no longer suited their lean and flexible approach to running the business. Rather than committing to ongoing rent, business rates and fixed overheads, they moved their physical operations into a storage unit at Wigwam Storage in Bath.
By using self storage in Bath as their operational hub, the brothers now work from home while keeping stock, packaging and marketing materials secure in one convenient location. Their Wigwam unit functions as a flexible fulfilment space where they prepare and manage customer orders efficiently.
For Shakeup, choosing Wigwam was about more than just space. They wanted secure business storage within a modern, professional environment that matched how a nimble brand operates today. The convenient Bath location, easy access, parking, and the ability to adjust unit size as the business grows were all important factors.
Moving to Wigwam Storage has reduced overheads, improved cash flow and allowed Shakeup to reinvest into product development and marketing. Jake believes this lean, storage-based operating model reflects how many small, ambitious brands will choose to work in the future.

Very easy access with parking right outside the door.
Plenty of trolleys, so no need for muscles ! It maybe a little more expensive than some others, BUT the cleanliness & ease of use perfect.
The staff are VERY patient, explaining how each unit works.
It is great to know the manned office hours & how to make contact if not.
Plenty of accessible hours too.
Ps.... they do like a biscuit or 2 in the office I hear !

only critisms - lights turned off automatically too quickly and no onsite toilet.
