Yes, at some of our sites. The pages for Chipping Norton and Leatherhead list an "On-site packaging store" selling boxes, bubble wrap and padlocks, our Alton page lists "on-site support (including a box shop with packaging supplies)", and several of our price pages say packaging supplies are available on site. Plan to buy during the office hours on your site's page, and ring the site first to check it has what you need. The site pages named here show their offices closed on Sundays; the hours are on your site's page. If your site isn't listed below, or its office is closed, check with your site or order from our online Box Shop and have it delivered: on 23 September 2026 it listed a medium double-walled box at £3.50, ten for £25.00, and moving kits from £35.00.

Several of our price pages, including Dorking, Burton-on-Trent, Marlow and Cheltenham, also say packaging supplies are available on site (Dorking's: "Packaging supplies available on site"; Marlow's: "Packaging supplies and padlocks available on site"). Burton-on-Trent's price page says "Additional costs may apply for insurance, padlocks and packing materials, all of which are available on site", and Dorking's lists "A padlock, available to purchase on site". How padlocks work at your site is covered in do I need my own padlock. Ring your site to check what it has and when.
Plan on the office hours, not the access hours. Dorking's office is closed at weekends (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm on its page). Access is normally 6am to 10pm (check your site's page; Cheltenham's page shows both 8am to 6pm on weekdays, 10am to 4pm at weekends and on bank holidays, and 6am to 10pm), but buying boxes on site is an office-hours job. Hours can change, so check your site's page before you go.
Our site and price pages don't give prices or a full list for what's sold on site, so the range and prices there may not match the online shop. If you need a particular size or a lot of one thing, ring the site and ask them to put it aside. Your site's number is on its page. Our site pages also don't say whether you need to store with us to buy on site, so if you're not a customer, ring the site to check before you travel.
The online Box Shop
The shop sells "cardboard boxes, moving boxes and packing materials online" with delivery "direct to your door". These are the prices as shown on 23 September 2026. Most were marked as sale prices, with a higher original price beside them, so check the shop for today's price.

VAT and receipts
The shop's product pages show one price for each item and don't say beside it whether VAT is included. If that matters to you, for example because you're a VAT-registered business and want to reclaim it, ask us before you order: call 0800 2545585. If you're moving in this week
Don't rely on buying everything on the day. Buying on site depends on what your site has and on its office hours, so check both on your site's page. Order online in good time so the boxes arrive before you start packing (the delivery page linked above explains what is and isn't published about delivery); how many boxes will I need helps you count. Where your site sells supplies, it's handy for a last few boxes or a roll of tape.

If you already store with us
You may be able to top up while you're at your unit, within office hours shown on your site's page. On a Sunday those offices are closed, so for tape or boxes today, buy from any shop that sells them: you don't have to buy from us (do I have to buy my boxes from Wigwam). Otherwise, order online to your home and bring the boxes on your next visit. The same goes for a padlock if your site's office will be closed: buy it before the trip on which you need it.
For a business or trader
If you need a VAT receipt, ask us before you order online, and ask your site whether it can give one for anything bought there.
Packing for a parent, or for a student
If you're clearing a parent's home, you can order online and have the boxes delivered to their address, so they're waiting when you arrive to pack. For a student, the Student Moving Kit (£35.00 on 23 September 2026) holds ten boxes, tape and a marker; order it to wherever the packing happens.
