Our website header says "We can save you money on your storage unit when you give us a call on 0800 2545585". We don't publish a price-match promise or its terms, so we can't tell you in advance whether we'll match or beat another company's figure. If you hold a lower quote, call us with it before you book, check first that the two quotes are for the same thing, and make sure any price we agree is on your Cover Sheet or confirmed to you in writing, because that is the price that counts.

Our prices, to compare against
On our September 2026 price lists, the median (middle value) of the listed prices every four weeks, before any introductory offer, and the range of listed prices for each size are:

A median isn't a price any one site lists. For each of these sizes the lowest listed price is at March and the highest is on Leatherhead's ground floor, so compare against your own site's price on its page or in your quote.
On top of rent, contents cover is required. Our insurance FAQ says "All customers require contents protection for their stored goods", and that you can either "accept our contents protection cover, or arrange insurance at your own expense". If you use your own, the same FAQ says "we will refund you the Goods Protection charges in full once proof of cover is supplied within 14 days of your move-in". We don't publish a Contents Protection rate, so if the other quote includes cover, ask us on 0800 2545585 what ours would cost for the same value, and compare the totals.
Check the two quotes are like for like

To compare, put both quotes on a yearly footing: a £25-a-week quote is £1,300 a year (x 52), and our 50 sq ft median of £143 every four weeks is £1,859 (x 13). Your first payment also includes a refundable deposit of two weeks' rent at the unit's standard rate; see do I have to pay a deposit?
New booking: against a "first month free" offer
If the other quote gives you the first month free at £X a month, a year costs 11 x £X. Our September 2026 price lists show offers such as 50% or 75% off the first 8 weeks; Lincoln's list shows 50% off the first 12 weeks. Before you trust a free month, check whether it's tied to a minimum stay, and whether the monthly price after it is higher than the standard rate. Our guide to long-term and upfront discounts covers our offers.
If you already store with us
We don't publish whether a lower rate is available to existing customers, so if you've seen a lower price elsewhere, ask us on 0800 2545585 before you give notice. Compare your current four-week fee x 13 with the other company's full year after its offer ends.
If we change your price, we tell you in writing, and the change takes effect on the first Due Date at least 28 days later. Until then, "You may end this Agreement without charge before the change takes effect by giving notice in accordance with Clause 39" (clause 45). Otherwise, leaving takes written notice of at least the number of days on your Cover Sheet (clause 41). Send it to info@wigwamstorage.co.uk, or deliver or post it to the address on your Cover Sheet (clause 39). Our move-out FAQ refunds "any unused days on your contract after the notice period". Before you move, add up the switch: the other firm's price after its offer, its insurance requirement and any deposit, and your van and time.
For a business comparing quotes
If you're VAT-registered, put both quotes on the same basis. Our prices include VAT, but a January 2020 post on our blog listed Chipping Norton containers "Starting at just £100 +VAT", so ask which basis applies to your quote. Whether your invoice shows VAT you can reclaim is not published; ask on 0800 2545585. If you need several units or a large space, ask too whether a different rate applies.
Get the agreed price in writing
Our terms define the Storage Fee as "the amount set out in the Cover Sheet or as most recently notified to You by Us" (clause 5(a)), and say special terms must be "recorded in writing and incorporated" (clause 46). So check the figure on your Cover Sheet matches what we agreed before you sign, or ask us to confirm a later change in writing.
If the lower price comes as a discount or special offer, pay on every due date. Point (c) of the clause 6 list beginning "You acknowledge that" says: "if You do not pay Fees on the Due Date, the value of any discounts and special offers (including periods of free storage) which You have received will be payable by You in full."
When you call
Ask us:
- whether we can match it, or come closer, for the same size at your nearest site;
- whether the price we agree lasts after the offer weeks.
