Are Wigwam Self Storage and Wigwam Storage Management the same company?

They are two brand names, and both of our websites name the same registered company behind them: WIGWAM STORAGE MANAGEMENT LIMITED, company number 11913942. Wigwam Self Storage is the name on wigwamstorage.co.uk, for people and businesses storing things. Wigwam Storage Management is the name on wigwamstoragemanagement.com, for landowners, investors and agents. There is no separate company called Wigwam Self Storage on the Companies House register. Your own storage agreement is with the "Self Storage Business" our storage conditions define, and they tie it to your Cover Sheet, but the conditions don't name the company.

Two names, one company in the records

Here is what each source says, and when:

"Wigwam Storage" and "Wigwam Self Storage" both appear on our consumer site for the same brand. The "Investors" link at the foot of wigwamstorage.co.uk goes to wigwamstoragemanagement.com. That site's own footer uses a third form of the name: "Wigwam Self Storage Management UK provides full solutions" for storage facilities.

If an older document says Wigwam Storage Limited, that is the same company number: Companies House lists it as its name from 29 March 2019 to 17 July 2023.

Is there a company called Wigwam Self Storage?

No. Wigwam Self Storage is a trading name. On 30 September 2026 the Companies House register had no company of that name. So for anything that needs a legal name, "Wigwam Self Storage" on its own isn't enough: use the name of the company your agreement is with (see below).

For business customers: which name goes on your supplier record

For a supplier check, record the registered name, WIGWAM STORAGE MANAGEMENT LIMITED, and company number 11913942, then check them against your Cover Sheet. Our conditions call the other party only the "Self Storage Business", so if your Cover Sheet shows a brand name or a different company, ask us which company your agreement is with before you set up the account. For invoices, see do you provide VAT invoices for business storage. None of our pages gives our VAT registration number; ask for it on 0800 2545585. For the address on your record, use the registered office in the table above; ask us which address to send post and remittances to.

"Sister company" or "customer facing business"?

Our management site describes the consumer brand in two different ways, and both posts were still live on 30 September 2026:

• "At our sister company, Wigwam Storage, our self storage sites are designed to give our customers secure, flexible, and affordable solutions" (post published 9 October 2025).
• "Read the full article at over at Wigwam Storage, our customer facing business" (post published 20 July 2025).

"Sister company" reads as a separate company. The footer, privacy notice and ICO entry in the table above all name one company, and the register lists no company called Wigwam Self Storage. Who owns and controls Wigwam Storage Management Limited is set out, from the Companies House register, in who owns Wigwam Self Storage.

If you already store with us: who your agreement is with

Our storage conditions don't name a company. They say "“We”, “Us” or “Our” means the Self Storage Business", and that the Agreement is "made up of the Cover Sheet and these Conditions". The site you store at is the premises "operated by the Self Storage Business, the address of which is detailed on the Cover Sheet". So your agreement is with the "Self Storage Business" the conditions define, tied to your Cover Sheet, but the conditions never say which company that is. The footer of the terms page names Wigwam Storage Management Limited, company number 11913942; the conditions above it don't. If your Cover Sheet shows only a brand name, call us on 0800 2545585 and ask which company it is.

If the business behind your agreement ever changes, clause 46(j) says: "We may transfer Our rights under this Agreement to another organisation and will let You know if We plans to do this".

Is a direct debit, payment or email from Wigwam Storage Management Ltd genuine?

If a direct debit on your bank statement, or an email, invoice or letter, says Wigwam Storage Management Ltd rather than Wigwam Self Storage, that is the company name our website footer and privacy notice give. A matching name doesn't prove a message is ours: if you're unsure, call us on 0800 2545585, the number on this site, not one given in the message.

Our payment options page says ongoing payments "will be taken via an online card payment system or by Direct Debit", but none of our pages says what name shows on your bank statement. If a payment line puzzles you, call us on the same number and ask.

A Direct Debit is covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee, which says: "If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society". It also says "You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify the organisation."

Cancelling a Direct Debit stops the payments, not your storage. In the Direct Debit site's own words, "What the Guarantee doesn’t do is affect the contract you have with a biller." Our storage conditions end the agreement by written notice: either side "may end this Agreement at any time by giving the other party written notice in accordance with Clause 39", and "You must pay any outstanding Storage Fees and any other fees or expenses owed to Us up to the Termination Date".

If you're acting for someone else

If you hold a lasting power of attorney, or you're dealing with an estate, the name you need for letters and records is the company the agreement is with, not the brand name. Check the Cover Sheet; if it shows only a brand name, or you can't find it, call us with the unit holder's name and site and ask which company it is. If you're a landowner or investor

You're looking for Wigwam Storage Management. Its site describes it as "The Leading Third-Party Self Storage Management Company", "Partnering with Landlords, Investors, and Commercial Agents". Its FAQ describes the arrangement it offers: "A management agreement is a contract between the facility owner and an operator. The owner retains the freehold or leasehold asset, while the operator runs day-to-day business under agreed KPIs." Contact it through wigwamstoragemanagement.com or on 01608 656 299. Neither site says whether a storage site Wigwam Storage Management runs on land it doesn't own trades as Wigwam Self Storage, or which company signs the agreement with the landowner. Ask on 01608 656 299.
