A billing cycle is the regular interval at which a supplier charges you, for example every week, every four weeks or every calendar month. Storage prices are often quoted per week, while payments are taken over a longer cycle.
At Wigwam
Our payment FAQ says: "Ongoing 4-weekly payments will be taken via an online card payment system or by Direct Debit." Our price list quotes each unit per week and per four weeks. After your first four weeks, rent is charged automatically every four weeks, which is 13 payments a year, not 12.
Whatever the cycle, our terms (clause 5(a)) say payments are taken "in advance on the invoice date for each Storage Period or other date agreed with You (Due Date)". We "do not normally bill for Fees" but send an electronic invoice after each payment.
Why the cycle matters
Take a 50 sq ft ground-floor unit at Bromsgrove, listed at £46 a week and £184 per four weeks on our September 2026 price list: over a year that's 13 × £184, or £2,392.
So when you compare our price with another company's monthly price, don't set £184 against it, because a month is longer than four weeks. Convert the weekly price instead: £46 × 52 ÷ 12 is about £199.33 a month. Your quote shows the exact figure for your unit. Nothing is added at checkout: the total in your quote is what you pay, and our prices include VAT.
