I rang this storage place after getting a ridiculous quote from a national center locally. I spoke to Sarah who went through all my options with me and it almost sounded too good to be true. On arrival I luckily bumped into her, she showed me how to use the keyless system and showed me to my unit. She was brilliant and everything was so easy. I will be recommending these guys to anyone who’s looking for a storage unit in the future. Great facilities and even better staff.

Great sign up and easy access couldn't have been better.
Only down side another user parked in front of the roller shutter door for a prolonged period making access limited...
Nothing to do with the actual depot.
I would like to add that their terms are every 28 days not monthly....
And when giving notice of 2 weeks you've gone over and incur extra charges....
Big business wins again....

I recently moved into a smaller home, and had some large items (lawnmower, disassembled bulky furniture, etc) that I currently don’t need or have space for in my new place. I thought I’d need to sell or throw away a lot of things, which was disappointing since I may have a use for them again in future. However, I thought I could look into nearby storage units, and potentially use one similarly to a loft or garage.
I looked up three or four places near me online, and of those, Wigwam were much cheaper than the other options. In fact, the price difference was big enough that I wondered if they were something like garages or shipping containers (out in the open and with cold/damp conditions being a concern). They weren’t far from me so I decided to go there in-person and take a look.
They ended up being perfectly serviceable units inside secure buildings, with no atmospheric concerns. The manager was incredibly friendly, and she was happy to show me around, including showing me the inside of a couple of different sized units (so I could better visualise and decide how much space I’d need).
I booked a unit and started filling it that same day, and I plan to use it for at least a year. I view it as if I’m paying a bit more rent to get the equivalent of a loft/shed, and I personally think it’s well worth it (with Wigwam at least; the other places I looked into would have been significantly more expensive over the course of a year).
All of the locks and shutters are controlled via a phone app, which is convenient. There’s no fiddling around for keys or entering a code, which was necessary at a different storage place I used in the past. Being able to open the entry gates without getting out of the car is nice when the weather is bad.
My only real nitpick is that they only have one kind of trolley to load your belongings onto, and they’re not the greatest. The surface area is relatively small, and there’s no sides to prop things up. At a different storage place I used in the past, they had a different kind of trolley, which I much preferred. They had a larger base, and they had “walls” on the left and right sides. I was able to load more things onto them, and more quickly. That meant fewer trips back and forth, and less time trying to carefully balance things so nothing falls (which is particularly unpleasant when it’s raining and your belongings are getting wet). I hope Wigwam consider offering a similar kind of trolley at some point.
That said, given how much more expensive the other storage places I looked at were, I’m still incredibly happy I found and went with Wigwam.

Wigwam were very helpful throughout. We was given the storage by the time we needed it. Paperwork was all straight forward, contract received and signed. Received the link for the app almost immediately. The following day we went to the storage unit, we followed all the prompts on the app which were easy to find and viola we had access. All very easy and straightforward. Storage unit was plenty big. Thank you for your great service.

Units are clean and easily accessible. Access times (6:00am - 10:00pm) are good. On-site manager available 9:00 am - 6:00pm Mon - Fri, and 9:00am - 2:00pm Sat. We turned up un-announced and were shown round the facility with everything explained to us. Also useful if problems occur. Access to units is via secure passcode. Security re-set when you leave. Each unit has its own padlock (your own or available to buy on-site). We chose a 50cu ft unit which was ample for our storage requirements. Trolleys are available with lift to different levels. Storage clean and well maintained. One week in and very pleased so far.

I needed to find storage for my daughter house contents. The staff on site were extremely helpful. They showed me 2 sizes to help me decide. They then took me through the paperwork and helped me to set up my entrance code. It all seemed clean and well cared for. There weren't any issues and everything went smoothly, when I had finished with the storage. The direct debit was stopped and my deposit returned almost instantly.

If you’re looking for a storage unit in burton, then this is place to go! We’ve used them for nearly a year to support us moving house and they were fantastic. We found that the facilities were great. Different storage unit sizes on offer. Decent prices and to be honest we found them the cheapest in burton. Loved the fact we didn’t need to give notice of termination of the storage unit. Friendly staff onsite.

Prices are competitive. Easy access to storage unit, the building, storage units are clean and well lit, plus staff are very helpful. 24hr access is also a bonus. I have used twice for long ish storage (1-2 years) in last 10 years, if I need storage again they will be my first choice.

Safe and dry storage, no security issues. Cost seems to be the norm for similar facilities. Only real downside, the lighting is very poor once inside the storage unit. Take your own torch!
