We don't have a published refer-a-friend scheme. There's no reward for recommending us on our website or in our storage terms, so the price is the same whether or not a friend sent you: the normal price for the unit, less whatever introductory offer the site is running. There's no discount code to enter; the introductory offer is what your quote should show. Several of our sites advertise 50% off the first eight weeks, and some 75%, often on selected sizes only. At the middle of our September 2026 price lists, a 50 sq ft unit is about £143 per four weeks, so a 50% offer saves about £143 over the first eight weeks where the offer covers that size; the saving is bigger on larger or pricier units. Nothing is added at checkout: the total in your quote is what you pay, and our prices include VAT.
What your friend can get instead
Introductory offers are set site by site. On 23 September 2026 our location pages and price lists showed:

Several sites apply their offer to selected sizes only, and offers change, so the quote is the final word.
What an eight-week offer is worth on two common sizes, using medians across all rows of our site price lists for September 2026 (one unlabelled list excluded). Bath and others run higher, the 75% sites lower:

At the 75% sites, a 50 sq ft unit lists at £82 to £114 per four weeks, so 75% off eight weeks saves about £123 to £171.
Once the offer period ends, your friend pays the normal price. Clause 6 (in the list that begins "You acknowledge that", point (c)) of our storage agreement adds one condition: if fees aren't paid on the due date, "the value of any discounts and special offers (including periods of free storage) which You have received will be payable by You in full". If you're already storing with us
There's nothing to claim and no code to hand over. What helps most is what it's actually like, plus a few facts:
- the minimum stay is two weeks;
- notice to leave can be given at any time and is normally 14 days (it's on the front page of the storage agreement), and paid days after the notice period ends are refunded;
- access is normally 6am to 10pm (check your site's page);
- belongings must stay insured for their full replacement value, through our contents protection or their own policy (do I need insurance?).
Then point them to the online quote.
If a friend sent you our way
You haven't missed anything by not mentioning them. Check that the introductory offer shows on your quote. Our guide to renting a unit for a short stay shows how the two-week minimum and notice fit together.
Do you pay a referral fee to estate agents or solicitors?
We don't publish a referral fee, and our solicitors' guide says "There is no formal referral scheme and nothing complicated involved." Your client pays the normal price less any introductory offer. Prices vary by site; your client's quote is the figure to pass on. If you refer clients regularly and want to know whether any arrangement is available, ask us on 0800 2545585. Worth asking when you book
- Whether any offer beyond the introductory one applies.
- Which introductory offer applies to the size you want, and for how many weeks.
- Whether leaving during the offer period changes the discount.
- If you're already a customer, whether the offer applies to a second unit.
- The exact deposit for your unit: it's two weeks' rent at the standard weekly rate, refunded within 21 days of your agreement ending (clause 4).
