Are there toilets or anywhere to wash my hands on site?

It depends on your site, and we don't publish a list of customer toilets or water points. Customer reviews of our Leatherhead, Tewkesbury and Lincoln sites mention a toilet, and at Shipston-on-Stour there's one near the industrial estate entrance for public use. For any other site, and for a tap or basin at your site, call us on 0800 2545585 before you rely on one, and until you know, bring water, soap and hand sanitiser with you.

What reviews and our replies say

These come from customer reviews and one of our own replies, so they report visitors' experience rather than a published facility list:

  • At Leatherhead, a review on the location page (February 2026): "Also pleased to find a toilet at the facility."
  • At Tewkesbury, a review on the location page (May 2025): "And the toilet is always spotless."
  • At Lincoln, a Google review (September 2026): "toilet on site, really clean and modern."
  • At Shipston-on-Stour, we've said in a reply on Google in August 2026 that the industrial estate has "a toilet near the entrance for public use".

None of these says when the toilet is open or whether there's somewhere to wash your hands. Ask us those things too (the list below).

What to ask us before you go

Call your site on the number shown on its location page, or 0800 2545585, during your site's office hours, which vary by site; your location page gives yours. Access hours are normally 6am to 10pm (check your site's page and confirm your hours when you book), so a toilet inside an office may not be open for your whole visit. Ask:

  1. Is there a toilet customers can use at my site, and where is it?
  2. Is it open during all my access hours, or only when the office is open?
  3. Is there a basin with soap, or a tap customers can use?
  4. Is it step-free?
  5. Is there baby-changing?

If you'll visit outside office hours, such as early on a moving day, call before that day rather than on it.

Moving day with children

A moving day can run for hours, and young children won't wait. Until we've confirmed what your site has, pack a travel potty, wipes and a change of clothes in the car, and look up the nearest public toilet before you set off (see Finding a public toilet nearby). Ask about baby-changing when you call.

If you visit often for work

If you trade, sell online or store stock and come in regularly, ask once what your site has, so you can plan around it. Keep a hand-washing kit in the van, as our terms don't let you plumb water to your unit (see below).

If you're pregnant, disabled or have a medical condition

Tell us about your need when you call, so we can tell you what's available at your site and ask whether anything can be arranged. Our guide to step-free access covers getting around the site itself.

If you need an accessible toilet, a Radar key from Disability Rights UK opens National Key Scheme toilets, found in places such as shopping centres, pubs, cafés, and bus and train stations. It's sold to people who need it because of a disability or health condition, and Disability Rights UK aims to deliver within 10 working days, so order well before moving day.

What to bring until you know

Our terms say you must not "connect or provide any utilities or services to the Unit unless authorised by Us" (clause 22(e)), so don't plan on water at your unit itself. Pack:

  • water for your hands and for anything you need to fill or rinse, plus liquid soap and a towel;
  • alcohol-based hand sanitiser and wet wipes.

Take packaging, trimmings and other rubbish home with you. The terms also say you must not "leave items or refuse in any common space within the Facility" (clause 22(g)).

Finding a public toilet nearby

The Toilet Map finds public toilets near your site. Anyone can add, edit or remove its listings, and it also uses council and open data, so treat opening times as a guide, and look before you set off.
