Getting here from Cainscross
Head to our Cheltenham store
Grosvenor Terrace,
Cheltenham, GL52 2SA
It's about 19 miles by road, roughly 32 minutes in free-flowing traffic: take the A4171 Paganhill Lane and Stratford Road to the A46, then follow the A46 north to Shurdington Road. Pick up the A417 Brockworth Bypass to the M5, come off onto the A40 into Cheltenham, and follow Gloucester Road, Swindon Road and St Margaret's Road to Grosvenor Terrace. A second route is longer, about 21 miles, but came out slightly quicker at around 29 minutes, so it may suit a clear day. That's an estimate from map routing rather than a timed drive, so allow longer at busy times.
Once you're there, smart entry lets you in Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and at weekends and on bank holidays from 10am to 4pm. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. You can read more about the Cheltenham store before you set off.

Why Cainscross people store with us
Cainscross is a parish on the western side of Stroud, taking in Ebley, Cashes Green and part of Dudbridge, with about 7,300 people at the 2021 census. The Stroudwater Canal runs immediately to the south, with Selsley Common beyond. The usual reasons to store from here are a house in transition: a move with a gap between dates, a kitchen or loft job that empties rooms, or a home business that needs its stock out of the way.
Moving home

Kitchen and loft jobs
Empty the rooms in the way and bring everything back afterwards.
Home business stock
Move stock out of the house and into a unit, see business storage.
Making space
